Terms of Service for FPL Base

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the FPL Base mobile application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

FPL Base is a companion application for Fantasy Premier League players that provides:

Team management and visualization
Transfer planning and recommendations
League standings and statistics
League chat functionality
Player analytics and insights

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

You must be at least 13 years old to use this App
You must provide accurate and complete information
You are responsible for maintaining account security
You must not share your account credentials

3.2 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you:

Violate these Terms
Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
Abuse or harass other users
Attempt to circumvent security measures

4. Use of the App

4.1 Permitted Use

You may use the App for:

Personal, non-commercial purposes
Managing your Fantasy Premier League team
Interacting with league members
Accessing FPL statistics and insights

4.2 Prohibited Activities

You agree NOT to:

Use the App for any illegal purpose
Violate any laws or regulations
Infringe on intellectual property rights
Transmit malware, viruses, or harmful code
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
Scrape or harvest data from the App
Impersonate others or provide false information
Spam, harass, or abuse other users
Use bots or automated tools
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems

5. Content and Intellectual Property

5.1 Our Content

All content, design, graphics, and functionality of the App are owned by FPL Base or licensed to us. This includes:

App design and user interface
Logos, trademarks, and branding
Software code and algorithms
Analytics and recommendation systems

5.2 User Content

You retain ownership of content you create (messages, team names, etc.). By using the App, you grant us a license to:

Store and display your content within the App
Share your content with other users (e.g., in league chats)
Use anonymized data for analytics and improvements

5.3 FPL Data

Fantasy Premier League data is sourced from the official FPL API and is owned by the Premier League. We display this data under fair use for informational purposes.

6. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services:

Fantasy Premier League API: Official FPL data (subject to FPL terms)
Firebase/Google Cloud: Authentication and data storage
Google Sign-In: Optional authentication method
Sign in with Apple: Optional authentication method

Use of these services is subject to their respective terms and conditions.

7. Privacy and Data

Your use of the App is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your data. Key points:

Availability of FPL API services

8.3 No Financial Advice

The App provides information and recommendations for entertainment purposes only. We are not responsible for any Fantasy Premier League outcomes or decisions based on App recommendations.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App (currently $0)
We are not responsible for third-party service failures
We are not liable for data loss, though we maintain backups

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FPL Base, its developers, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

Your violation of these Terms
Your misuse of the App
